Teaching School

About the Romero Teaching School Alliance

The Romero Teaching School Alliance supports system-wide school improvement in order to maximise the life chances of all young people. We are specifically committed to meeting the needs of all schools which have an explicit values-driven ‘whole-education and whole person’ ethos which supports the holistic development of individuals and school learning cultures.
This especially includes Catholic and Anglican Church Schools, Co-operative Schools and extends to all schools which seek to provide a whole education in all aspects of academic, spiritual, moral, social and cultural education.

The RTSA is led by All Hallows Catholic College, an outstanding school (2011, 2014) with outstanding results. All Hallows shares its journey of improvement from special measures to outstanding with established expertise in the development of high quality learning cultures underpinned by excellent leadership and a tried and tested, successful framework, for teaching and learning. All Hallows’ Principal became a National Leader of Education in 2013 and the College was established as a National Support School. A proven track record of experience in the development of teaching and learning, School to School Support, ITT and leading Professional Development resulted in a successful application to become a Teaching School in 2016. The applications panel stated that they were keen to prioritise the application even though the College is not in a priority area because the College is already working with many schools through networks which extend beyond our locality.
